LeFate Cooking School

Rome, Italy

One of the experiences that we wanted to have on this trip was to attend an Italian cooking class. The LeFate Cooking School was a perfect match for our desires. It was not too expensive it was reasonably close to the hotel and as a bonus it also included a wine paring with our meal. Ristorante LeFate was also a restaurant and wine bar during the late afternoon and evening, so it was a practicing cooking school.

The instructor, Chef Andrea Consoli, was very passionate about the art of cooking. He was en educator in both cooking and the history of the region. Before we left on our trip, I decided to bring Andrea a bottle of wine from the Woodinville, WA region as a gift. He was very touched and really appreciated the gesture. He even gave me a bottle of Fronsac, from a local winery in the Rome area.

All in all the cooking class was a great experience and a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Rome.
